Talking 2 weeks after surgery

Hi everyone! Well, I am finally back at work after having surgery July 19th. I have lost 21 pounds in 2 weeks and feel great. I am curious....does your appetite come back? Right now, I have to make myself eat. I simply don't even think about it anymore. Also (and this is embarrassing) I had my gallbladder taken out and I feel like I am being held hostage by my bowels! Is this because of the gastric bypass or the gallbladder removal? Thanks guys, this site is awesome.

Default Normal feelings

Hi Shelli, I felt the same way for weeks after the surgery, but getting your nutrician is very important when you have just reorganized your digestive system and are loosing weight rapidly, the desire to eat is not the same for me anymore, but I know that eating correctly is a key part of the weight loss in having bypass. Sorry cant answer for the removal of the galbladder and it'e effects. I know that going to the bathroom might be less frequently than prior to surgery especially for going #2, #1(peepee) should continue on and be regular. Good luck and welcome.
Ciao
Paul
