Red face Hello from the Bay Area!

Hi everyone!

I've been wandering around the forum and learning so much from all of you! I'm in the research process of WLS and feel so inspired and motivated to continue the process with all of your wonderful and truthful (the good, the bad, and the ugly) stories of WLS.

A quickie about me, I'm 33 and have PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) and am simply sick of being fat! I have gorgeous 2 year old son who keeps me active & has motivated me to seek this procedure.

I'm excited to join you all and hope to learn more from all of you!

Congratulations on all your accomplishments!

Monica

Hi, Monica!

I came here for the first time just over a month ago, and I was encouraged enough to go ahead and have a consult and begin my WLS journey. I am now finished with everything except my PCP approval letter (which he will write as soon as he receives the results of my stress test, which I had yesterday). Then I wait for insurance approval. It happened a lot faster than I thought it would, but who knows how long approval takes? I guess I'll find out!

I have a son, too, who is 17 -- I want to be around to see his children!

This forum is the best WLS forum on the Web -- everyone is so friendly and knowledgeable. I've started a folder with the information I've gleaned from here.
