Well im from san diego ... Im 21 years old. I kinda been dealing with being heavy for the late 6 or 7 years. Im a shorty so you know the heavier I get the worst it looks on me. But anyway.... Im basically on here to meet cool people and get a lot of information about what im getting myself into. I wanted to join groups but i have know idea how.

You are so lucky that you're getting this under control at such a young age! Many of us wonder how our lives would have been different if we hadn't spent so much time and energy battling our weight through the years. The important thing to remember is that this is a TOOL in the battle...not a cure, you'll still need to work at it every day, but your youth will give you such an advantage in healing and getting on with your life! Dr C is great, and there are many wonderful support groups in the San Diego area.

Wow Thank you ever much for that.... that is a real sigh of relief. A Lot of people tell me that its a good thing to do it young. My only worries are .... how my body will react to the surgery, and how my body will look after you no.

In that instance, your youth is a blessing...it might shrink back, it might not...but you'll have a healthier life! Our bodies all react differently, but I am more than twice your age, and never had a single complication.

So I was wondering why do some people have a open surgery rather then lap?
