Welcome to the board! Lots of great people here. As others said... feel free to ask anything.

(I live across the state from you in Marshall.)

I'm from Minnesota too. I had the bypass in March. Dr. Wetherille at Methodist Hospital. 90 pounds are gone. I can't believe how much better I feel. Good luck.

Default Welcome!

Not from MN, but been there a few times. Dad grew up there, and I've visited relatives up around Zimmerman and Elks River. Great fishing!
Good luck on your journey!

Default Man to Man

Ciao Bardley, I have been a member for about 10 weeks and have found comfort and support from this site. I too am someone that carried weight almost all my life. I lived for 8 years in Northern Mn, Lake of the Woods County, but was born in Portland Oregon. I am now living in Italia where I had my Laproscopic Gastric Bipass. I am in my 11 week post op and I am learning what my new stomache will and wont tollerate. My team here in Italia provides slightly different suggestions than most of the American Dr.s, but I think overall if you follow what your Dr.'s advise and pay attention to those who have gone before you on this site, you will most likely have a great experience and find a new freedom for yourself. Welcome and really there are many guys here.
Buona Giornata.
Paul
