Hello! My name is Shanna and I'm 35. I had the lap band procedure done in October of 2005 (went from 217 to 166 in 5 months) then had to have it removed, due to slippage, in March of 2006. They were unable to put it back on because of the amount of scarring around my stomach so now I'm back to where I began, actually a bit heavier, of course (234), and am in the beginning stages of looking into having a bypass. Wish me luck!

I'm sorry to hear that you had problems with your band. I'm sure things will go well for you on your path to the bypass. It seems approval should be pretty smooth since you were already approved previously.
