Hi, Marlen901! I'm a neighbor across the river.

I just joined this board a week or so ago and have learned SO MUCH! Make sure to read through all the threads and print out information. Folks have been kind enough to share books, recipes, etc. One of the most interesting things is "Pouch Rules for Dummies" found in the Pre-Op forum (LINK).

I've started a folder with oodles of information I've found (mostly on this forum!), even though my first consultation isn't until tomorrow afternoon.

Marlen,
Qiuck, hurry run,get to that Dr. and get to it as soon as you can. I am 42 years old and I wish they had something like this when I was your age. You sound like me all over again. I am also 5 ft 3 in and dwas like that all my life. went all the way up to 242 when I was your age. The Sx was the best thing I ever did for my life, my body, my selfastime,my looks,my health . Overall outlook on life. Can do so much now that I could nver do before and now I feel like I am 25 haha.Good luck to you and dont forget to keep us updated.
