Default American in Italia

Hello to all, I am Paul originally from Portland, OR, currently living in Carrara, Italy. I have lived here for 14 months. I underwent laparascopic gastric bypass on May 18, spent eight days in the University of Pisa hospital. I posted my story on the forum today also. I look forward to sharing and helping as a member of this group. Good luck to all.

Congratulations on your surgery and welcome to the forum!. How lucky you are to live in Italy. My son lived near Venice for 3 years but I never did get over to see him, his brother visited him at Christmastime. He has snowboarded all over Europe, lucky bugger!

Good morning!

It is nice to meet you! It is always interesting for me to meet people who live in other countries. What brought you to Italy?

Welcome!

Hi Mike, After taking turns traveling between the USA and Italy for 2 years with my partner we made the decision that I would move here to Italia. It was a great move, also gave me the opportunity to take care of my health with the socialized medicine that is offered here in Europe. I see you surgery date is May 30, how are you doing?
Thanks
Paul

Default Molto Piacere

Paul, it's great to hear about your journey, especially living in Italy. I read your story on another thread and was amazed at everything you've been through - you have been very brave and I hope everything gets smoother. I look forward to hearing more from you!
