New and Super Excited!!
My name is Cameo and I have been truly encouraged by watching many of you reach your goals. I can't tell you how many hours I've spent looking at your before and after pictures. Once I knew I was committed to this, the approval process has gone VERY smoothly. Now I'm at the end of my second day of a 14 day pre-op diet and want to cry. I'm sure everyone has been there. Regardless, I am soooo excited and know this tool is something that will help me break out of my own personal prison and gain the energy to be a healthy Mommy.
Thanks again. I look forward to the "ride"!

HI Cameo!
Welcome...this is an amazing journey. Worth every painful, hungry moment of your pre-op diet, I promise. Best thing is, those pounds you lose aren't going to come back with friends like they have in the past. Best of luck to you. I'll add you to our June Staplers thread!

Welcome Cameo! Sorry your pre-op is making you sad. Personally, I think pre-op diets are cruel and unusual! It'll be over soon, tho, hang in there!

Welcome!
I only had to do 2 days liquid pre-op...but I've done Optifast twice in the past. You do get used to it! Plus I chewed a lot of SF gum- Extra brand- lots of flavor that lasts a while. Plus, there is something liberating in not having to worry so much about what goes in your mouth!
Good luck!

Welcome. I had to do the 2 week Optifast liquid diet, yeah it was real fun. I did find I actually enjoyed the Optifast after it had been in the freezer awhile and was just like drinking a milk shake (chocolate & vanilla, couldn't stand the strawberry).
Good luck with everything.

Welcome Cameo. Let me assure you the pre-op diet does progressively get a bit easier. Those first few days are torture though. Hang in there. It honestly is SO worth it in the end!! My surgeon added in the little extra motivation that if I didn't lose at least some weight on the pre-op diet my surgery would be cancelled!! I tell you that was enough to keep me on it and I lost 10 pounds in my first week.
Hang in there, you can do it!!!
