Default Newbie from Kansas

Hi all! I'm a 29 year old (30 in 2 weeks or well 1 really) and I had my surgery on May 7th. I'm just over 4 weeks out of surgery and had laproscopic gastric bypass. I live in Kansas with my husband of 11 years and my 2 wonderful daughters. I'm so very excited about starting my new life and getting healthier. I've really done very well with my recovery so far and I"m just really looking forward to losing all of my excess weight. My "short term" goal right now is to lose 75lbs in my first 6 months. I know that I can do it and I'm getting back into walking and exercising and just really trying to make all the right decisions for my new life.

Wink congrats

wow congrats on being 4 weeks out. I'm still in the approval process. And I'll be 30 in a few months. It's hard to believe that there are so many people here with the same goals. I have faith that you will do well in your journey. Again congrats and good luck.

Hi Deirdrea

Welcome to the forum! I sure wish I had done this when I was 30 instead of 45. Congratulations on your new beginning!!

Thank you all for the warm welcome! I'm really glad that I found this place. It's always good to have a place that you can get feedback from really quickly and be able to talk to people who have hit goal and everything. I"m really excited about starting this out and I can't wait to be what all my friends call a "skinny bitch"

Hi!

I'm the old lady here, 67, and I am 2 months out. I am so happy I have had the lap RNY, and am feeling better with each day.

You have very realistic goals, and I just know you will achieve them! You have a great attitude!!!!
