Unhappy Murphy's Law..?

so i get a call today from my medical group...the girl on the other line tells me that all is going well and that I should have my answer in a few days...Im excited...then she repeats for me my medical ID info and its completely wrong!
I ask her to repeat it and she rechecks it in the system again...turns out, for the last year my ex has still had me on his insurance! so I tell her that Im not in that city and that doc died over 5 years ago and that theres a mistake...shes no help...so i call blue cross next and the girl thought i was crazy (although she was nice about it)....she had all my info exactly as it should have been....IM PISSED AND CONFUSED now...so i ask her to look me up by birth date, and sure enough, there i am...wrong city... dead doctor... ex's policy...damnit! So the blue cross girl is feeling bad for me here and offered to call my group....and by the grace of god gets the same girl i originally talked to! after several minutes on hold she says that the "misunderstanding" is cleared up and that things are back on track...my heart begins to beat normally again and my blood pressure returns to near normal....is god testing me...or does blue cross try to hold out til we give up in frustration after we've clearly lost all patience and sanity??

please pray for me...pray for my approval...i need all the peace of mind i can get right now!

We will be praying for you that everything goes according to plan. May the plan be a short wait and over with soon. Take Care we know what the wait is like.

Dorene had every test that the Doctors could throw at her and did well through all of them except she got some antibiotics that caused a drug reaction. Three days before our surgery date we were in the emergency room getting the same test she just had done over again. They found that is was the antibiotics and told her to quit taking them and she was fine for surgery. We had a lot of people praying for us. We made it and we are now nine days out doing wonderful. We will lift you up in prayer.

It seems that "misunderstandings" are abundant between patients and the office personel that we have to deal with. Let's just hope that they are all cleared up now. I wish I had a nickle for every time that I've run across this. Good Luck to you.

For what it's worth...

I too have Blue Cross and when my surgeon's office heard that, they commented that this was great because Blue Cross is the best insurance company that they work with in terms of approvals for WLS.

I honestly don't think that they will try to wear you down in hopes that you will give up. It seems that they understand that this is less expensive than the long-term obesity problems.

Hopefully, that provides you with a little hope.

I have had no trouble with my BCBS- they've been great! It just depends on the state- and Murphy's Law! BTW,have you heard of Smith's Law?

"Murphy was an optimist!"

Good luck!
