Default Just wanted to introduce myself ...

Hi, My name is Raquel. I am new here; I've been reading & viewing a lot of your successful stories and pics. I've made contact with a few of you through myspace. Thank you for adding me and replying to my messages. All of your weight loss pics are incredible. I'm barely at the very start of my new weight loss journey..... my appt w/ a primary care doc is on June 11th. I hope he gives me the referral to Dr. Callery ASAP. If anyone can help me on what to say to get a quick referral to the specialist or does the primary care doc gives me the referral as when I request it? Well I can hardly wait in the meantime I welcome everyone's input

God Bless everyone!

Hi Raquel,
Welcome!
Be prepared that your pcp is going to ask you to do a 6 month supervised diet or something similar. This is what most insurance plans require for the referral to the surgeon. Best of luck to you, have a plan mapped out to talk about with your pcp. When your pcp is on your side, everything runs much smoother.

Welcome... I didnt have to do the 6 month supervised diet, because my insurance company just wanted documented attempts... my dr. wrote what I said.. (guess that was documentation? LOL).. BUT.. even if you do, you will be that much farther ahead! Good lUck to you!
