I only told 4 close friends. It is none of anyones business. I live in a small town and I did not want to be the topic of the day. When people ask me how I have been able to loose 60 pounds, I just say high protien diet, and a lot of exercise....which is true.
I even had the surgery out of state as not to run into anyone I know.
Just me! I am very happy I made this choice.

Default I didn't tell

To the people I needed to tell that I'd be going in for surgery, I just said, "Well, I'm having some...issues that need to be...dealt with.." And I'd make a face. Everyone said, "Say no more - I understand..." One man said to me, "Yea - my wife had that" To this day I'd love to know what he thought I was talking about...

Now of course, after taking off 83 pounds since surgery, I am sure some folks have put two and two together, but not many. In any case, no is saying anything to me - which makes me happy. I don't want to be under a magnifying glass.

It is each person's personal decision. I actually wish I worked somewhere where I could tell - some days I could really use the support!!
