I didn't tell
To the people I needed to tell that I'd be going in for surgery, I just said, "Well, I'm having some...issues that need to be...dealt with.." And I'd make a face. Everyone said, "Say no more - I understand..." One man said to me, "Yea - my wife had that" To this day I'd love to know what he thought I was talking about...
Now of course, after taking off 83 pounds since surgery, I am sure some folks have put two and two together, but not many. In any case, no is saying anything to me - which makes me happy. I don't want to be under a magnifying glass.
It is each person's personal decision. I actually wish I worked somewhere where I could tell - some days I could really use the support!!
