Hello All,

I am new to this forum, but definately not new to researching this. I will be having lap RNY on July 2nd. Actually, my insurance JUST approved this last week after nearly a year of trying, denials, appeals, etc.

I was at a support group last week and a couple people I was talking to said they post here, so thought I'd pop in.

I live in North Dakota, I am 46 years old. I am the mother of 3 adult sons, and have been married for almost 27 years. I have been extremely overweight for approximately 15 years, having tried every diet under the sun, lose a little, then gain some more. I had great success with fen-phen until they took it off the market.
