Default Cathy in upstate NY

Hi everyone I'm Cathy (Polly D is a cat I know) and I live in Rochester NY. I'm in the "considering" phase. Tomorrow I'm going to start a couple of balls rolling, scheduling an appt with my pcp and signing up for the next seminar the hospital does.

Anyone else around here in the Rochester area? I've heard Dr. O'Malley at Highland is "the" guy to see but need more info on that first.

Welcome Cathy! I am in Cortland (just below Syracuse). Nice to have another NY'er. I understand that there are some very good docs in Rochacha! Best of luck to you. Its quite a process...so good to get the ball rolling!

I would suggest when you are searching for your doc.. that you find a center that does it all... (Strong has a complete program). That way you get your nutrition counseling, support groups and stuff right along with the surgery.

Glad to have you... and Cant wait to watch your progress!
