Debbie you can always try the Whey protein vials. They have them 24 grams of protein and 42 grams of protein. You can get them at your local VitaminShoppe or you can get online and order some. They are a little expensive but so worth every penny. Debbie hang in there. It can be rough the first couple of weeks but it does get better.

The Atkins aren't too bad- the chocolate, anyhow, but I have to have them very cold or over ice. Special K Protein water isn't bad, you get 5 grams of protein, but it's water too! The lemon is best, I think the strawberry-kiwi tastes too icky sweet. Make a milk shake, add extra dry powdered milk. Hang in there! When I was allowed soft/pureed food, I added powdered milk to my soups too when I pureed them.

I agree with Denise.. the vials are only 3 oz of fluid.. and 25 or 42 grams of protein. I have the "blue" ones.. and they arent horrible.

Do your best, but don't drive yourself crazy. The first two weeks is mostly about staying hydrated. If you can do that, great. Next - is protein. Try anything - dry milk - sly stallone's protein pudding - whatever you can think of.

Early out I didn't get in much protein at all. I could not tolerate protein drinks. Now saying this, if you can get in the protein...its much better for you. Do what you can, don't beat yourself up...focus on getting in all your fluids that you can. Try cream soups made with milk, cocoa with skim milk powder - they all have protein.

I use the vials now, just drink them back...no mixing and its 25g of protein for a few. oz of liquid. I wish I had them early out.
