I like GNC's Liquid protein. It is 18 gm protein for 3 tblsp . I add it to a glass of water and some crystal light or walmart's brand of s/f juice. Sometimes I double (6 tblsp) for 36 gm protein. It doesn't taste bad with the juice and the good thing is you can return it if you don't like it ( as long as you have the receipt) It comes in orange or punch flavor.

Default Protein Help

I like the syntrax Nectar proteins and the IDS Multi Pro proteins. My new addiction is the cinnamon vanilla, yummy! I went thru tons to find what I liked. I also like the EAS shakes, in the silver containers, at Wal Mart. They are ready to drink. I think the strawberry is the best. I also use the new whey liquid too. I found it at www.buildingbrawn.com for pretty cheap with cheap shipping. I think the blue raspberry is more tolerable than the fruit punch but that is just me.

If you go to Vitamin Shoppe and keep your receipt they will exchange protein for up to 30 days if you don't like it. I had to do that a couple times to get one I want. As long as you have the container. I don't think you even have to have much left in there.

Good luck and hang in there!

Glad to hear you found something to help. My biggest advice is always dry milk powder. It is cheap, easy, and tastes decent. I added it to cream soups, mashed potatoes, yogurt, pudding, coffee, hot tea, hot cocoa, and even milk. It adds the protein without more liquid. They call me Queen of dry milk. I still use it for my warm beverages now.....over a year and a half out!

Tuna also has a TON of protein if you like fish! If you mix in a Tbsp of nonfat mayo, a little mustard, and some minced onions, it's VERY good. And for a 6 oz can, it's about 30g of protein!

Default the protien I use is......

I use a product called Unjury and it can only be ordered online at www.unjury.com.

I tried 17 different ones but most of them upset my stomach...go figure

Anyway, I use those general mills powdered drinks in the sugar free/caffine free style my favorites are cafe vanilla, Chai and Cafe Veinna. I use the powdered drink mix, 6oz of water heated to 130 degrees...no higher because the protien gets all funky and lumpy... and drink this twice a day. That gives me 40 grams with almost no effort.

It take sme an hourish to drink this but it's good and makes keeping protein in my body easy.

Sorry if we aren't supposed to post purchase stuff but I figure it's not my business so maybe it's okay!

I have a huge problem with protein deficiency, and actually get real foggy and exhausted feeling when I am low. I found Isopure (GNC) and the Stallone pudding. The Isopure is ready to drink--no carbs, sugars, just 40 gm protein per bottle. A lot of people don't like it, but for me it's kind of like gatorade--when you're dehydrated, Gatorade tastes like heaven, but when you don't need it it tastes awful. When I need protein, Ispure is nectar of the gods. When my protein is where it belongs, it tastes very sweet. The problem with whey protein is that there is lactose in it, and many of us discover post surgery that we are lactose intolerant. That would explain the nausea. Try lactose free milk or soy or rice milk.
