Default Newto the board laprascopic GB 4/9

Hi, Just wanted to introduce myself, I have been checking out the site for months now and I have gotten alot of great info!!I started my journey in Jan 2007 and everything went very smoothly for me. I had all of my work up come back negative, I started eatting alittle better and walking alot more. I was denied initially from BCBS but only for about a day and my surgeon (Dr. C) made a call for me and they approved me the same day.
I had my surgery this last Monday, and I have to say it was much easier than expected. Surgery first case 7:30 AM arrived at the hospital 5:30 AM out of surgery 10:15AM, awake in recovery at 11:30 am. Finally got into a room at 3:30 PM up walking every 2 hours starting at 5PM. Up Tuesday morning at 5 AM walking acouple of laps. Dr. C in at 7AM and discharge orders written. Home Tuesday (POD #1) at 3 PM. Wednesday taking my Loratab for pain only feeling discomfort when getting up or down. Took a few 10 minute outside walks throughout the day, otherwise was just up and down a lot. Wednesday, practically no pain, did the same. Thursday walked a couple of times outside for 20 min each. No pain otherwise up and down all day. Now day 5 I feel really good have not taken any pain meds in 36 hours!

May the rest of your journey be as smoothe as the start. I think it is good for the pre ops to hear that things go according to plans sometimes!!! Good luck and keep us posted
