I start my pre-op diet tomorrow to start my liver shrinking and it is 3 atkins shakes a day until my surgery next Wednesday. I think 4 days of this isn't bad compared to what I have heard from other people.

Debbie, don't fret it does come back... i was losing so much so fast I was devistated. i couldn't comb or brush my hair everyday cause it was falling out because i was "malnurished" .... i wasn't able to get my protien in. you will find that the key ingredient is protien, tons of protien! one thing i learned through my wls journey was that all good things come with a price. what is the price you are willing to pay? mine was my very life! but then it was the same as everyone else. if we are willing to put our life on the line for the benefit of a longer fuller and happier existence then the chance of losing our hair knowing it will come back is possible mild compare to the thought. thats just my thought and perspective of the hair issue. my hair is still coming in.. i have these darn baby sprouts every where! I can't tame the dumb things as they do what they want when they want and as far as how they look ,, yea they annoy me and i get upset then i remember where I've been and how far I have come and think ya know this isn't so bad after all.

I lost hair a lot along the way, but nothing that wasn;t worth the health and results. I also got some curl to my hair....which is cool.

I went to my beautician yesterday and she was like oh my god sue your hair is growing in kinky curly and I was like yea I know.... it is outta control. The good part is she said the bacck of my hairis getting fuller and thicker and that it would be only a matter of time before the rest catches up. thank god for the vitamins huh!
