Default Hi! On my way to g-bypass

Well, not right away. I have to have six recorded months of dieting before I can do anything. So, I'll be doing that as soon as I can. It's going to be hard to find support seeing as I'm only 15. My mom supports me because she knows what it's like to be over weight. She had gastic bypass about two and a half years ago. There were really rough times but, she's okay now. My Aunt (her sister) also had the surgery. Although, she had a different kind. I myself don't know exzactly what kind to get but, it could be a year before the surgery actually happens. Well, a little over six months to decide.

My moms Docter was Docter Nye. I DO NOT LIKE HIM. So, won't be any need in going to him.

Here is a picture of me. I normally don't take pictures of more then my face but, my friend took this one.

Btw, my mom was 333 and now she's about 190. I weigh about 250. Normally kids my age my height are about 165, I think.

Welcome to the forum. It doesn't matter what age you are here....we love everyone to join in. If you have concerns or questions, don't be afraid to ask. That is what we are here for. This is a GREAT place with WONDERFUL people! On a side note, I have a daughter headed in your direction by the time she is your age and it terrifies me for her now that I am getting healthy.

Thanks for welcoming me in you guys! Right now I'm trying to think so much of the surgery. Just gotta get to the docter for that whole dieting thing. (not that I haven't before) I hate that word...."diet" Blah!
Anyway, since today is a happy day. I'm going to go to church and be happy.

Btw, Happy Easter!

Default Hello!

Welcome! I don't want to be a wet blanket here, but I am going to bet you're going to have trouble finding someone to do the surgery at your age and weight. They won't do the surgery until you've stopped growing in most cases, unless you are over 400 pounds or something really extreme - with diabetes at least.

Again, don't shoot the messenger here, but I think the Nation Bariatric Assoc. recommends patients be over 18. Check it out - I'm sure there is more info on line.

Whatever happens - I wish you luck!
