Hello everyone...
Hello everyone, my name is Linette. I am 34 years young, a full-time student (political science) and a wife to Michael (15 years). My husband is in the military (for almost 18 yeas now). We are currently stationed in Texas. We have a nine year old son, Nahtaniel, and a 5 (going on 21) year old daughter, Hannah.
A good friend of mine told me about this forum and I have been reading all night. I cannot stop reading all of your inspirational stories and looking at the before and after photos. You are all amazing!
I am going tomorrow morning to consult with a bariatric surgeon here in town. I am 5'5" and weigh 248, that puts my BMI at 41.1! So unhealthy. I want to be able to play with my children again without losing my breath and I want to feel healthy again, not to mention look good again! I get so frustrated. I swept my floors today and got winded! GRRR! Because I have another surgery pending we are hoping we can maybe get the GBS pushed a long quicker to avoid more anesthesia.
Anyhow! I look forward to posting with all of you and following along with everyone's progress.

Welcome Linette. Are you stationed at Dyess AFB? My dad was stationed there for two years before he retired. Sometimes I miss that place. Is Mississippi street still around?? I remember they named all their streets after states and we lived on Mississippi. I know they went through a lot of construction.
