How cool is that...barrel racing....That is impressive....I can't answer your how long question....but CeeCee did and wow I am a little sad...I didn't realize it took 3-6 months...I was hoping to be able to lift weights sooner than that...
But anyways I am so glad your here...and I wish you the best on this amazing journey.

Hi and welcome to TT and our little family I was in a binder after my open surgery for 12 weeks when I could finally get back intot he gym. Remember that this surgery is considered more majot than an open heart bypass - they are re-routing your intestines and all that cool plumbing, so to be bouncing around on a horse really will take its toll if you are not careful. Ask your doc for his opinion on the barrell racing, love to be safe.

Oh and BTW - congrats on quitting smoking, I went cold turkey 4 months before gbs last March, started again about 3 months after gbs, and quit in mid Feb of this year for my tummy tuck & hernia repair. I still stress and want one, but know what it does to our pouches and have no desire...take it day by day and you will be fine!!
