What a great friend you were to stand by your friend when she got approved and you didnt. That had to have been hard. It's ironic that supporting her, even though you were really envious inside, ultimately led to your surgery. I have lost a few friends becasue I chose to have this surgery, and i really think it is becasue they were jealous. Not of me, but of the opportunity that i had to finally do it. The friends that I have lost are all overweight as well. I think I even inspired one to lose weight becasue she didnt want to be the "fat" one, lol. But I congratulate her everytime I see her and truely am happy that she didnt need WLS.
I think every obese person thinks of WLS, even if they never admit it. I mean how can you see success stories and not think about how great it would be to do the same? I used to be obsessed with Carnie WIlson, lol, just because I was envious. Have you read her books? they are really good, I read them before I had surgery, and it helped a lot.
Anyway, Congratulations on your 80 pound loss. You are doing great!
