Default haha.....I guess I should intro myself, too...!!

I've been soooooo busy in a couple of other topics on this forum, I forgot to intorduce myself.... how rude, not really-just me...!!!
I'm going to be 54 in July, been married to the same redneck for 36 years in July(wow has it really been that long.......???) I weighed 105 lbs. when I got married...!!!! We have one son, Jeff, he's 34 and full of pi$$ and vinegar just like his mother...!!!
If anyone were to ask me right now why I want to have this procedure , I would tell them, "I'm sick of being sick." I have sooooo many of the comorbidities I won't even list them all.....
I work full time helping people with disabilities overcome their barriers to employment and as a systems change agent educating individuals about disability related issues.
One of the greatest rewards of my life was having the ability, through my job, to do disaster relief work after Hurricane Katrina for two weeks......
so that's a little bit about me.....(oh yeah, I hate the snow......!!!)

thanks all...!!! I really feel at home here, comfortable... it's odd because I'm not really a person that talks about the issues in my life; I'm more of a "fixer"---trying to help others with their problems..... hopefully, in time, I will be able to give as good of information as I have been receiving here......!!!

how dare you not post up a intro thread! haha j/k

You're job sounds really interesting. I bet you've seen quite alot. I also did relief work after katrina. I work for a company that had many many loans in the area.

I went down and did what I could to offer financial advice as well as emotional support.

welcome to our board.

thanks John....!!!
I went to Gulfport Mississippi after Katrina; we literally searched for 1,000 disabled individuals that were on the "Missing" List.
This is such a great support network....!!!

one of the saddest things about being in Gulfport was I didn't get to see the beauty of the area before the storm; only the devastation after...... but I have to say the beauty of the people was amazing..... they were all so warm and welcoming......
