Default Hello From Julie and Karen at Little Victories Support Specialists!!

Hello to all of our Thinner Times friends!

We have been meaning to get out to this cyber party and say hello to all of our friends and colleagues from across North America. Some of you we've actually met when we visited your support groups or practices, and others we haven't yet met in person, but you've kind of met us through our book "The REAL Skinny on Weight Loss Surgery: An Indispensable Guide to What You Can REALLY Expect!"

We wanted to have an opportunity to hear from more of you, and to celebrate more of those "Little Victories" we all share in this weight loss process. Also, we wanted to let you know that we've created a fantastic cookbook for all of you (Lap-Band too!) that is meant for the whole family, not just meals for you. It's called the "Little Victories REAL Food Cookbook: Easy, practical, healthy foods your whole family will eat." They're going like proverbial high protein pancakes right now, so we needed to get the word out faster than the US Mail can do the job!

Anyway, if we haven't had a chance to keep in touch, or you want to say hi because you read our crazy book, shoot us an email or answer this posting.
Karen and I are as busy as ever creating new resources and finding new ways to make life easier and better for weigh loss surgery patients everywhere. No rest for the wicked you know!

Say hi and tell us about those little victories we love so much. Ask questions, ask for resources, ask about support group leader training, whatever. You know we do this for a living so our job is to be the most informed people on the planet when it comes to WLS. We spend everyday in the research to make sure we are as up to date as possible in every area related to bariatrics.

Be good to yourselves. You're worth it!! Congrats to all who are achieving their dreams! Way to go!

Yak at you soon!

Well you have no idea how surprised I am to see your name here! A pleasant surprise. Welcome to ThinnerTimes!!

I just want to encourage everyone on this forum to contact Julie or Karen with any concerns or questions. They are an unbelievable support system and have a wealth of knowledge. I actually am going to be involved in their support group training in the near future. For those of you who have read my posts about searching for a way to work within the Bariatric community, these are the two women who have given me direction and guidance on this endevor. So please, welcome them to ThinnerTimes and use this opportunity to get to know them! They are weight loss surgery patients, so believe me, they understand.

Julie and Karen......Well hello there! I have heard many wonderful things about you from my dear friend Beth. I am hoping to get a chance to join you at a seminar sometime myself. I hear you just left Ohio recently. Maybe I can work things out to visit Michigan and participate along with Beth. I look forward to the opportunities you offer us for growth and knowledge. I definitely know the importance of support and good information. This message board has been as lifechanging for me as the surgery. Welcome to our board.

Did you??? You'll love it, Marty!! I received one from Dr Baker before surgery. I started reading it the next day and read the entire thing at one sitting. You'll love it. It has tons of great information but its written with wonderful humor.

Let me know what you think after you get it and read it.

Hi and welcome, Julie and Karen. I will need to check out your cookbook - although my motto is "The only reason I have a kitchen is because it came with the house"
