Default Excess skin post surgery questions

I am 34 and my goal is to loose 80 to 100 lbs, do you think I will have a lot of excess skin? I am just starting this process and am at the very begining so what can you tell me about the excess skin?

It totally varies from person to person. It all depends on your genetics and how you carry your weight.

it does vary from person to person. So far i have lost 60 pounds...and w/ hopes for another 60+ more. I don't have a problem...but i started running and hopes to start weight training program. Keep w/ your excercise and w/ your vitamins that helps.

Thumbs up

It really varies from one to the next.I find that what some think looks great the same person is wanting PS.Some people look great in clothes but hate what's underneath...I feel it's about genetics.

Best wishes on your journey,

V

Just depends on the person and the skin. Some has more elasticity than others. I have heard it also depends on age sometimes.

Default Mine is icky

I really have to say that I have issues with my excess skin...on my legs. I am ok with pants on...but that is because I can hide it. I am a smaller person...but underneath all of the clothes...I feel gross. Everyone is different. I just lost the elasticity to bounce back. I damaged my skin a long time ago when I lost and gained so many times. My PS surgeon said it depends on the type of skin, too. Mine is not so elastic. I thought that i wouldn't have issues, but didn't find that out until I was at goal. The texture of the skin changes with time, too. I notice that it is very thin and I can actually make my skin on my calves flap in the wind like batwings...sorry for the visual.
