Default Hello Everyone!

Hey guys! I have been reading all your posts for probably the last month and have yet to introduce myself. My name is Stooky and I found this site through a google search looking for some support since I have encountered a few snags during this first year of weight loss from GBS. You are all beautifull people and thank you for all of your answers to alot of questions I have found searching for. My doctor is about one hour drive away and so are the support group meetings, so we haven't made any. His nurse is always available by phone to answer my questions; but I think it is alot easier and a little less embarrasing to wait and find out on my own (I am learning this isn't the best way). My wife Amber has had the surgery about 6 months ago. She is doing awesome! She is PREGNANT! We are VERY happy and a little scared since we were told that her getting pregnant was a big NO NO until about 1 year post-op. This will be our second child and probably our last. I have found that Amber isn't the first person to have ever gotten pregnant so early after a GBS operation. I know that we should be very concerned and carefull to make sure that she is taking all the supplements that she would normally be taking for herlself as well as the baby. She is trying very hard. We are praying that everything will turn out fine. I have faith that is will.

Well, just a quick bit of info about myself. Thank you again.

HI Stooky,
Welcome to you and April. She just really needs to concentrate on getting what she needs PLUS, because baby will get it's needs first, and she will suffer if she's not getting enough nutrients. I hope she is getting good medical care. You'll find many opinions here and lots of wonderful information. Again, welcome!
