Hello,

My name is Beth. I live in North County (Vista) and 2 of my coworkers post here...one of whom told me about this site. I am 5 years post op and way way off course.

I had my surgery August 1st, 2001 down in San Diego and things were going pretty good for the first year or so. I was working out everyday and was happy with the way things were going. Then I fell on my right knee on concrete 3 times over the course of 3 months and that sidetracked my excerise process. It took awhile to heal and when I did, I never got back into the swing of things. I haven't lost anymore weight but I haven't gained any either.

I wish I had found this site sooner...but i'm glad i'm here now.

Hi Beth

Awesome to see you here! This is a fantastic site, I don't really use the one I am supposed to use because of this one.

I am glad to see you here too as it is easier to talk about WLS in a place that is "safe". Our work place isn't the best location as basically no one else can relate on any level. Except our other friend in sales!

You'll love the North County meeting at Rain's if you decide to go next month. They are a great group of people.

Beth,

Welcome to the site. These people are fabulous for support, humor, and much sage wisdom. I'm sorry you've gotten off track. Although I try very much to stay positive about reaching and maintaining goal, it helps to read how many of you struggle a year or two later. It helps me to not be cocky about progress and remember that I must always stay alert. I know you can get back on track! Coming here is the best thing to do. We'll all help and encourage as best we can, knowing when it's our turn someone will be there. Good luck......you CAN do it.

Welcome to TT Beth! I am so glad you posted. This is a great support system. The great thing about all these wonderful people is that they can all relate on some level.

Ya'll are correct though. No one @ work really understands other than the occaasional, "Hey are you allowed to eat that?" comment. I am glad that I have 2 great co-workers to lean on at work. Don't think many people have that .
