Default New Member Intro!!

Hello everyone!!!

I have been lurking on this board for a couple of days. I liked what I saw so I joined.

I am a 29 (almost 30) year old stay-at-home-homeschooling-mom of 2. My ds is 10 and my dd is 5. Today was our first day of homeschooling. I married to my dh who is 35. We have been married for 10 years. We live in North Carolina and have lived here all our lives.

I am considered morbidly obese. I can't believe it. When I read that I was shocked. I just didn't think I was that fat.

I am hovering right at 300 pounds and I am 5'6".

I have an appointment with my regular doctor in Monday evening to talk about WLS. I hope to be joining you all soon.

Welcome aboard. There is lots of support and information here. This is a great place to be. I hope turns out the way you have planned in your journey, hey even if it doesn't remember give it the good fight. Don't give in so easy to little things that might prevent you from making it to the losing side.

Default Welcome

I didn't like those words either when my doctor told me I was morbidly obese. I thought...no I am just fat. It was an eye opener for me.

Best wishes with your journey and welcome to this great place for support.

kcsmom,

I am new here too. I am the same height as you and nearly the same weight (I weigh 312). On Friday I will see my doctor for the first time to talk about the WLS. It's nice to see someone with so many similarities as me going through this at the same time I am.

How did your doc's appointment go?
