Arrow It's been a looooong time but am back!!!

Hey out there everyone!!!

Well, 12/09/02 came and went...for the best!

The site and forums have changed! Don't recognize anything (or anyone except I remember 'Willie' for some reason)

For all you newbies to surgery....remember, it's only a few months of "nope, I told you not to eat that until day 11...I didn't say day 10 (anyone can guess that one, I hope! hehe) Just do exactly and i mean EXACTLY what Kelly tells you and you cannot go wrong!

For some of you (like me) you will never feel hunger (true physical hunger again. I love it! If I forget to eat, I will get a headache though! Nooooo aspirin!

Ahhhhh, the hair...lost 3/4 of my hair but, alas, is coming back with a vengeance, happy to say I didn't eat enough protein early on or didn't absorb it well (I still to this day don't absorb squat!) so eat those bars and drink those oh so lovely shakes! It will help, I promise.

I don't know about any of you other "seniors" out there, but I still can NOT eat more than about 2 very small (child sized??) bites of anything without feeling like I need to throw up or burp (my daughter still asks me "Are you okay, mommy?" when I start burping because she knows I've eaten too much, too fast, wrong thing, etc) Such is life Small price to pay to be able to be standing and hearing her ask me that question!

Post op??? I'm still feeling it! Sure, 3 1/2 years, but feels like 3 1/2 weeks at times! Especially when I want to eat it all...you know..."McDonald's fries, Wendy's burger, Mountain Dew, Dairy queen Large Blizzard or dipped cone..." yeah, right! But, when I do get the craving for something "tabooooo..." guess what? I eat it! why? Because it's not going to make me go back to that 387 pound woman. I may be way off here and outside the "norm," but I just physically can't force that amount of food, ever. It takes me 2 hours to eat a cheeseburge from anywhere, and most of the time I don't even eat it all!

Drink that water! I'm telling you guys....drink it, live it, breathe it...I can't gulp at all. I miss the big huge drink of ice cold water (or dew hehe) yet, i will throw it up if I gulp it. I've always chewed ice since I was about 2 days old, so that keeps me hydrated more than anything. And, it pays off...in spades! I don't have any hanging anything (except tummy flap and inner thighs) My arms are perfect, chin, butt, you name it! And, I'm covered for the tummy tuck and thighs by insurance

Well, that's all for now...if you've read this far, thanks! and I'll be back later on

Good luck and congrats to all of you! it's hard to do, but sooooooooooooo worth it!
