Me too. I keep getting conflicting answers from my chosen hospital's insurance coordinator and my medicare (Blue Medicare Access Standard) office about what comorbidities will get my surgery paid for.

I also have medicare and it only took a few weeks for my "(okay)" to go through...sorry to hear you're having problems.

I did! And though I didn't meet the BMI criteria, I had enough co mobidities (diabetes, arthritis in the knees, high blood pressure, high cholesterol) so that I had no problem gettting the surgery! Had it done on 11/11/09~
