Like that hasn't been a topic here before!

I called the utilization dept of my medical group and yes, I am approved for RNY. They will call to schedule the actual surgery date after my cardiac clearence and results for my endoscopy are turned in.

My GI consult is Tuesday and my stress test is Thursday. It's been a journey!

Congratulations! I bet you are very excited. I am going through a 3 month program required by my insurance and they believe that my surgery will be the end of January. I am 44 years also and feel that with the kids getting older this is the right time to do this.
