Default For those of you who have ventured into plastics...

Did your insurance cover your plastic surgery?

I would like to hear about your experiences.

I haven't had plastics yet. I want to have a breast lift at some point but I'm not done losing yet so it's too soon to plan for it, really. And I don't know how I'll pay for it. I doubt I'll be able to get my insurance to cover it.

Usually insurance will cover plastics if it's "medically necessary." Like, they will usually pay to remove loose skin from your tummy if the hanging skin is causing rashes and sores and infections and stuff AND if you've tried medication for the problem and it hasn't helped. Unfortunately, my breasts are not causing any real problems. I just hate them.

My plastic surgery date is 12/16 and my insurance company is covering a tummy and thigh lift, or fat and skin removal. I won't have any out of pocket expense.

I'm waiting on my pre-op appointment to learn more : )
