Question New insurance

Ok, so I just got new insurance through my work, I've been going to my PCP since January for depression & weight problems. Does anyone know if my new insurance would consider me getting GB a preexisting condition? The main reason I got the insurance from my work was so they would cover it. Also, my hubby will be more than likely losing his job & our insurance. Any insights on this? I just got word yesterday that I got the insurance. I want to call asap to make an appointment with a surgeon and get the ball rolling.

MY guess is you should be OK. Being overweight kind of HAS to be a pre-existing consdition to need the surgery!
