Angry Hmmm... did I mention I highly dislike Insurance companies?

After I had surgery I found out that my insurance covers travel expenses etc. so I got my claims together and called to find out exactly what I needed to submit with my receipts. They said nothing except a claim form. The benifits book said they covered the expenses for my consult, surgery, and the first follow up appt. YAY!

So yesterday I get a letter in the mail saying they need more information before they could process my claim.... so I call and they want a copy of my medical records. THEY PAID FOR ALL OF IT and got all the notes to cover the surgery etc, what more do they want, why do those records they recieved not work? I just dont understand... the guy from the insurance was no help, I asked if I could talk to someone who would know and he flat out said NO!

So this is partially just me complaining, but the other part is me asking if anyone has dealt with this issue before, or if anyone has any insider information that might bail me out of this LOL

I would call back and ask to talk to a supervisor.

I agree with Kelly, I would call them back. They should not put you through all of that after they paid for your surgery. The insurance companies take us through alot.
