Hi All ~ wow, what a great forum. Everyone seems so nice a helpful. Anyway....I have looked and can't seem to find any postings on Pacificare as an insurance provider. I am working with Dr. Callery and getting ready for my consultation next week. YAY ME! I am wondering if anyone out there has used both Dr. Callery and/or PacifiCare. How long did the approval process take? Did you hit any major bumps in the road?

I DID! I had Pacificare Signature Value. The longest part of the process was getting everything together...then waiting, waiting, waiting...on the dictation. I think it took a month! (somebody must've been on vacation)...You're in good hands.

Thank you Lynda. I also have Signaure Value. How long would you say the process took from start to finish? (If you don't mind me asking??)

I don't really remember, I think I had my first appt with Dr C in April...surgery July 11, 2006.

I just went thru this whole process! I have pacificare/united healthcare sig value and My surgeon is Dr. Callery. I started out with this in April and had my surgery on June 22nd. Get all of your meetings in and dont lag on your blood work or psych eval. Dictation of my chart took the longest and I had an approval from Pacificare w/in 3 days. If you can make sure they submitt it at the end of the month for the next month as they only approve a certain amount of cases per month. If you need anything let me know I will be glad to help!!!

oops I lied it was March and surgery on june 22nd. You will be amazed at how truly fast it goes though!
