I got approved through Cigna. It took 2-3 weeks for my first response. They sent a letter saying they needed proof that I've had a high BMI for at least 2 years. We sent that, and it took another 2-3 weeks for my next letter---APPROVAL. I never made calls. They sent a letter to both me and my doc's office.

You should hear whether it's good news or bad news. I mean, how else will you know you've been approved? I don't think you have to call, they should notify you, but many people get anxious waiting and call anyway.

I have Cigna here in Florida. Iwent to my first doctor's appt and i was feeling so good, then i called cigna today and asked if i was covered and they said no!!! What do i do? do i fight it? My doctor told me to fight it.

You plan doesn't cover it at all? If so, ask if you can change plans or something. Or were you denied? If so, see what you need to do... i.e. 6 month dr. supervised diet, etc.
