I depends where you are stationed and whether or not they can mnage weight loss surgery with all the depolyments going on. Here in the San Diego area they are doing a lot of them right now. When I went in, after my first son was born, I weighed 220 at 5 feet tall and the Dr. said I was not fat enough. Went in after the birth of my second child, 2 years later, weighed 210, same height, same doctor...lol, and was approved to meet with the surgeon. The surgeon said I could have any surgery I wanted but I had to wait until my daughter (who was 6months old at the time) turned a year. She will be a year on July 21st and my surgery is scheduled for Aug 10. So, it just depends on the Dr., the duty station and whether the hospital has the manpower.
