OK so I know compared to others going thru insurance issues on here mine isn't as bad, but I am still frustrated. So here is the deal I started the process Jan 5 called spoke with the insurance to verify if its covered..OK check it is. Call the surgeon i want to do it and I go in for a nutritional seminar and meet with the surgeon. They then give me a list of items i need to do(all to be paid out of my pocket so far total 435.00) and also make an appt with another more thorough meeting with the surgeon. So I get the every thing i need to do by march 3. March 5 everything is turned in to my insurance. So far I have heard NOTHING. The surgeons office said approval would take 10-14 days. Well i get a letter from my insurance that nothing has been turned in. So I called the office and they said they received a request for more info and they did fax that in on the 17th. So i called Independence blue cross and voila its been sitting on my nurse managers desk she hadn't seen that someone put it there. Nice...so hopefully i should hear something soon...cross your fingers please
