Default Cigna tips!!

Hey!!
I have CIGNA PPO through NALC (FEDS).
I have started my six month plan last month. Just had my first months follow up today. Yay!! I need a ticker. My doc is so supportive of me through this and gave me the name of a great doc she has worked with before. I am pumped!!!
I need Cigna tips. I know they need the diet. I have scheduled the seminar with my doc (must go to that before scheduling that appointment) for the first week in April. yay!!! What else do I need to do? I am mostly worried about Cigna throwing a hissy fit.
When I called they said at first that they wanted a "six month diet supervised by the surgeon". I was like. WOah.... wait a second. I read that it was six months supervised by the PCP. Then the girl was not so sure... she was like... umm... then put me on hold and said "just have your pcp send the notes to your surgeon and have him say he agrees." Well, course he would have to agree before he'd do the surgery!!
So... I'm worried about Cigna. HELP!!

Thanks!

I had CIGNA open access plus. I was denied at first because I didn't have thorough records of a 6 month physician supervised diet. My surgeon submitted, even though we knew it was possible I would be denied, but while they were gathering information and getting things together, I was starting a new 6 month plan with my pcp. after being denied, I kept up with my monthly visits. When my 6 months was up, we resubmitted, and I was approved the same week they got the paperwork. As long as you follow their requirements and your doctor records everything, you shouldn't have an issue.

thanks for the info I'm looking into it for my wife I know she feels just beaten down by the thought of it all but I know the surgery can be a life changer and saver and to be a healthy weight can change everything, health, self confidence, energy levels well being its all affected and if this is an option I think it would definitely be worth whatever obstacles there are.
