Good Morning Everybody!

Well yesterday was my final weight in! I also got a date for the surgery (could change depending of insurance approval): 9/17/09! They are planning in submiting the paperwork this afternoon, so hopefully will get a reply next week! I have faith that everything will work out!

On the other side, I am positive for H. Pylori so I have to take antibiotics for 14 days to get rid of that bacteria in my stomach! All my test are GREEN!!!

Lov'ya all!

Isabel

Congratulations, Isabel! that's now officially less than a month away!

I guess that's what I'd like to do right now is have a date, and know that I have something to look forward to as I continue to keep the plates spinning in the air while jumping through the hoops.

Hi girls!

My insurance guru @ the bariatric program says that while BCBS of IL lowered their standards (hurray!) they are also denying slightly more frequently, in her experience.

I'm still feeling kinda down about the whole thing, and didn't make it to the gym today, so that's weighing on me (pun intended...LOL)... I'm trying to keep positive vibes flowing. Where's my Sabrenia with some positive affirmation?!

Anyhoo... Tess, fingers crossed for you! Better hear something soon! C'mon HUMANA!

I can't believe everyone's getting so close to surgery... I don't want to be delayed too far after y'all! I'm gonna get left in the dust!

What do you mean BCBS lowered their standards? I have the same insurance and would LOVE to know what exactly was changed!

I've read elsewhere on the forum, and my insurance expert tells me that instead of 6 months documented visits to PCP for weight loss, they dropped it to 3; and they no longer require the 5 year weight history.

That's all I know. Hope this helps!

Tina don't let it get you down. You have to remain positive. You have to remember that you are not going to let anything stop you. Stay focused and get back to the gym. It will help you stay on track. Good luck and I'm praying for you

I have a funny store I wanted to share with you guys. I check my mail today and I got a letter from my insurance company (Blue Shield of California). In the letter is a check for $4,785. I got super excited. I started planning out what I was going to do with the money and how much O was gong to allocate to my upcoming wedding. I read the letter and couldn't think of a reason they sent it to me but I was happy nonetheless. I called Blue Shield only to find out they send me the check and I have to pay all the pre op doctor bills out of that. They totally burst my bubble. I had to laugh for counting my chickens before they hatched.
