quick question!
i have my PCP visit scheduled for the end of the month. Because I have to travel extensively the next few weeks - I will have to reschedule! ugh! i think i can't go until the first week of april. so it will be five weeks...
will the insurance company freak out or will i be ok?

I don't know what insurance you have but I have bcbs and they told me that is a big no no they need 6 consecutive months. So example Jan, Feb, March, April, May, & June! Good Luck on getting in this month

Hi Guys,
I took your advice and contacted the surgeons office. The rep told me to ask my pcp if I can bypass the 6 month diet because I clearly meet all of the requirements. She also said that I should have my psych eval done now. I feel like it can really happen now. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Thanks for letting me share my experiences with you. You guys are awesome

I have to call tomorrow morning and schedule it. I need to have this surgery already. I can't fit anything in my closet and that includes my work uniforms. I am so depressed about this weight. I need this like yesterday.

Default Is 6 month pre-op diet always mandatory

Hi, I'm new and just getting started with a visit to the surgeon on Friday. Lots of questions, I have Blue cross personal choice, are they really going to make me do another 6 month diet? I've been dieting for 14 years!!!

I have BCBSofMI and there is a mini note saying 6 consecutive months in the last 4 years must be a professional or physican supervised diet. So if you have that little bullet point on your criteria you can use WW reciepts or JennyCraig, What does your criteria say?

WELCOME BUCK TO THE TT 6 months FAMILY!!! I do not have BCBS but I do have UHC and they do require a 6 month diet. You may want to contact your insurance directly and they will give you the details of your policy. Please stick around with us on this thread, there is alot of support!
