Hello!
I have PPO Blue and I had no problems getting approved. After all my presurgery stuff was done, it was approved the first day. I was so surprised and happy it was so quick and easy. I was 4'11" and 227 pounds and I was worried that they might not think I had enough weight to lose. But all went with no hitches and one year laters I have lost 102 pounds.

Best of luck to you!

I have highmark blue shield ppo and was denied, and exclusion from the benefits even if it is medically necessary. one last hope thru my hubby's military insurance.

Was It Because You Had A Exclusion In Your Policy Against Wls??? Cause Mine Is Covered If It Is Medically Needed. So I Have My Fingers Crossed!

there was an exclusion for WLS even if it is medically necessary. they just dont care how bad off you are and will not budge on the benefit plan. this is thru my work. you would think a 15billion dollar company would have better health coverage for its over 5000+ employees...
