HA HA HA...They Paid Twice!!
I just had to post this b/c it is so ironic and funny! I called the hospital business office today to check on my account. I got this HUGE stack of EOB forms from the insurance company that all indicated that my claim had been denied. Geez. Anyway, so I call to check on it. Turns out the hospital has submitted one claim before all the charges were finalized and then submitted an adjusted claim later. The insurance company paid both!!! After all I went through to get approved...to get them to say yes, we will pay for it...after seeing how tightfisted they are with the millions of dollars they make off of us...after reading about how some insurance companies would rather pay for a lifetime's worth of blood pressure pills, diabetes medication, pain pills for sore knees and backs, and all the medical attention that an obese person needs...after all the frustration I have seen in other people's threads about insurance....I just thought it was kinda funny that my insurance company would pay for my surgery twice! HA HA HA.
