Okay, so I have another question

Medicaid requires a six month weigh in program.. Now my primary doctor is following me for blood clots and I'm on warfin ( blood thinner ) So when I get my pts they also are now weighing me, talking to me about what my phsyical limitations are with exercise.. Now they aren't weight managment but they are following me with everything.. is this good? Or do I need to be with someone who is involved with weight managment??

Not 100% on all the NC Medicaid rules but general, they are looking for the weigh in's to come from the same doctor that is following your weight management program. It can, and usually is, your PCP. Make sure the office visit notes include discussion of diet and weigh loss attempts along with the othe stuff you are there for. This should be sufficient. Most private insurances accept this for the MD sponsered diet attempts. Hope this helps. Sue
