Hi Tonya,
I am BCBS Empire Blue, when I was first fighting for the wls I kept getting turned down, I dont know what the problem is with BCBS Illinois, but the doctors kept Assuming I was of Illinois carrier I guess since I live in Illinois, but once we caught the mistake and it was sent to the right carrier it went right through. It makes no sense that you guys have insurance from here, then again I guess it makes no sense that our BCBS is out of Middletown New York

I did some more reading on here and it seems that there have been people who have tried to get around it with no luck. DH needs to get a new job! I thought about putting him in my insurance but we just can't afford it. Bummer. He really wants the surgery now that he's seen that I've done well. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
