Oh Katie, noooooo.........
There are some things that I just can't bear, and this is one.
Here we have Katie, ALWAYS the bubbly and wonderful and joyful cheerleader for us all, rooting us on (even as she typed on her laptop in her DH's hospital room), working, taking care of her devoted DH, involving herself totally and with all her heart in the TT Forum and every member on it......
And this is the person who is in agony of pain, and is dealing is bureaucracy that is exhausting.
I absolutely hate this for you, dear Katie. In the end, though, it will be worth it. Hold on - this is part of the wild ride!

Yes... I ended up with a top rated surgeon in phoenix... . The other doctor, Schwartz who cancelled my surgery ended his practice right after my incident and discontinued doing ry, he only does lap band now. So he had ulterior motives in cancelling the surgery anyway. He was just so offended by my questions on the blood issue... As it turned out I couldn't donate my blood because the shelf life is 5 weeks and the blood bank would only withdraw it at 3 weeks prior to surgery. It takes 4-6 weeks to regenerate it back. which was not enough time. I didn't need any, as it turned out. I'm glad now that it all happend the way it did. I'm very happy with my results having laproscopic instead of open cut was so much less intrucive.
Any way!, I hope Katie doesn't have to waite so long for re-approval. But her surgery date should stand since it's in Feb. I hope she has no delays. Once the paper work was re-submitted it took only a week to get approval.
Katie, Try not to get too upset over it. I guess your focus is on your painfull knee right now. I'm hoping your knee problems will get better after surgery. Till then try to take it easy! Which, may not be a problem since it's left you no alternative. (Sending healing thought your way!)

Hey Janine... I'm not too upset about it... just silly that things to assume are cared for are NOT cared for! The whole business end of this is so cold and silly..... I'm pretty confident that it won't change my date!
Wondering if I'll have a knee surgery snuck in before! EEEek! Hope not!
Janine... you should meet OsoDelDeserito... Same town, same stupid surgeon who only does Lap Band now!!! Same run around, and he's still waiting!!!
Packed in ice, off to bed!
G'night ladies (and lurking gents)! Tomorrow is a brand new day!

I was looking forward to meeting him (OsoDelDeserito). I've been keeping up with his pm's and progress. He p.m.'d me a couple of times. He didn't show up for the support group meeting last month and I've yet to meet him. Maybe next week! He's really had a rough time of getting things going. Poor guy! Glad your keeping your chin up!

Toony, you should be fine it really just takes a simple switch of the coding. I did the same thing but they switched it and the same day gave me the auth for the bypass instead of the lap band. The prior auth review nurse is the one who changes it. hang on girl
