Default Different kind of insurance question

Has anyone not been approved for LIFE insurance due to the GB surgery? I am getting a new 20 year term life policy and wonder if I will have to disclose my surgery and what effect that will have. If anyone knows anything, please share!

Thanks!

Yes, A LOT of people get turned down for life insurance. Let me do a "search" for you and see if I can find any Threads regarding this.

Thanks for doing the leg work for me. I forget to use that feature. Thanks for helping me out. Doesn't sound like it is going to work out for me. Guess we will see next week.

I was appalled to find out that people who have had gastric bypass will always be considered high risk by insurance companies. I work for BCBS of NC. I find that rediculous. If anyone has gastric bypass, takes PPI for reflux, and a few other things, will find themselves in the highest tier when trying to get health insurance. The other thing that you must never do is NOT disclose a know medical condition or lie about your medical history. Policies, both medical and life, could be cancelled immediately when the company finds out. Sue
