Exclamation Toony vs. Insurance

I emailed my surgeon's staff about my approval... this is what I heard today:
I just spoke with them yesterday. They had some questions about our program, whether it was multi-disciplinary or not. I assured them that it was, and went through a few other things with the gal. She said it sounded good, and is passing it on to the medical reviewer. I don't think it will take long now to get an answer, and I have my fingers crossed. Hang in there!! Let me know if you hear anything from them before I do. At this point, if they approve they will most likely send you a letter, and copy it to the surgeon. I am usually the last to hear.
Could it almost be MY time??? (Ok DH, settle down... I need a couple of weeks for myself now... )

I have my fingers crossed for you. I have been thinking about you and wondering when you would hear something. I hope DH is doing well so that you will have the time. Where in Wisconsin are you from? I am a huge Packers fan. I am not far from Green Bay. I will say a prayer for you and DH.

WOO WOO WOO!!!!!

I wrote a mini-poem to commemorate the occasion:

Toony's date is almost here
Her time to shine is very near.
A clearer path is on its way,
I shout a loud "Hip! Hip! Hooray!"

What good news! I'm glad you emailed them and were proactive. Knowing something, ANYTHING, does so much for the mental state!

Good for you---KUDOS!

We will be going through Madison for Christmas. Maybe someday we could meet up not Christmas but maybe another occasion after we both have had our surgeries.

Our WLS Team is hosting a Christmas Party Monday night... I'm hoping to have news and celebrate big time then!

I can't see having surgery until mid Jan or Feb... lots of variables, including the DH's issues! But I'm feeling like it might actually happen now!

Kim... definately meet in 2008! : )
