You should call the insurance company yourself and ask. They may not have wanted to release the info to your husband and it is a lie that they can't give you that information.
Your second insurance policy may pay additional on your claims, it will depend on the benefits and requirements of that policy. After your policy is effective you should call and ask about your benefits for this surgery and if you are approved let them know that you already have approval under your husband's plan. This will not matter if your new policy excludes the procedure, but if it doen't it could save having to get it approved under your plan also.

I called thinking maybe you were right Beth. They lady that answered the phone said they don't give out information on approval for WLS. It has to go directly to the surgeon. Well it was worth a shot

. I will just sit back and wait. It is just so hard not knowing if I might have to start from the beginning.
