Default Medical necessity...(Blue Cross PPO)

Ok, hey guys, fighting the good fight. Well talked to representatives about getting blue cross blue shield PPO, and talked about weight loss coverage. They told me that according if it was a medical necessity it would be covered but if i tried to get the insurance for coverage and/or if i have recorded the whole 6 month diet, it's considered a preexisting condition
and will be excluded, they cover me but wont pay for the surgery. They told me *as an example that if a family member died and i gained weight that it would covered. Wow, what a horrible example. Whoops my gram died...oh well time for surgery...Anybody have this problem and any ways around it?

I have BCBS PPO and they covered everything.

Ask how long the pre-exsisting covers... it should only beif something happens in the first 6 months fo your coverage.

Hey, thanks, i talked to bcbs over the phone and confirmed that they do cover it as long as it's a medical necessity. I'm going for the 100% coverage and $500 deductible. Thx for your help guys! I'll update ya within a week! :-)
